woohoo! I passed my advanced theory test today. So happy =) so thankful becos I only spent 1 day to study the book & 400 qns. I took only 30mins to complete the test although given 50mins. Tis is my 2nd try, & its so fun to use the touch-screen. Instant results. Gd tat now I can start my driving lessons becos the theory test result is only valid for 2yrs… furthermore, the comfort sch membership only valids 6mths, so I hope to take the practical in late December.
Ok so one major thg down on my list. Earlier in afternoon I sat for the French exam. its quote okie manageable lah, but the compre was abit tough. Its abt French calendar & festivals, thankful tat we had gone thru it in our class, or else I’ll be more lost. but still, my vocab isn’t gd enuff to understand everything, but at least 70% lah.. there’s some vocab & grammar exercises, sentence forming ,etc which are alright, but I realised they tested a lot on verbs for the ils/elles (they). I spelt a no. of them wrongly… sigh… din take note of them becos din expect them to test so many of those. Last section was somewad like compo, one is writing an email to invite friends to my birthday party. Tis is quite easy. But the last qns was funny. It says to write a person u admire or like. I was kinda stuck for a moment. Thot of writing someone famous, but I dunno any famous idols well, so decided against it, in case I present the wrong info & gets deducted marks. So alas! Who did I write abt? I wrote abt my imaginary boyfriend. Lol! Its quite sad becos I was totally limited by the vocab I can use to describe him, so he is only sympa (friendly) & gentil (nice). Also portrayed him to be un sportif (sportsman), & knowing many languages. Lol… due to the word limit also cant write much… haha overall, taking French was indeed a gd experience. Learnt a lot abt interacting in class, trying to master something totally new & unfamiliar… on top of tat, me being weak in languages yet dare to take the challenge to learn French within a mth, & having finished a French exam paper, regardless of wad the results, I felt such sense of satisfaction tat my 1st half of the hols is not wasted. Praise God!
Ok now its time for me to plan for the 2nd half of my hols. I haf exactly 1.5 mths. Right now there’s alrdy a few events on my calendar, which includes:
- attending the Basic Life video conference 19-23June at Bethesdal Cathedral
- the long awaited 18/03 gathering on 30June-1July
- another TK gathering soon
- mayb a movie marathon-‘Cars’, ‘R.V.’, ‘Omen’, ‘Superman’, ‘Garfield2’ are some of the movies I wanna watch
- Encounter Weekend on 8&9July
- help out as road marshals on TCS day on 29July
- join more Amore pilates & other dance related classes
- meet up wif frens
- maybe a short trip to visit BUCM wif the school in late July
- maybe a mission trip to Japan wif Nira in Aug to rise funds if I haven’t start sch
- etc…
ok these are wad I can recall now… wow looks a lot! Lol… its gonna keep me really occupied! Hmm… expenses will be high… gonna feel very broke once I start the driving lessons… thank God tat I’m still teaching wan shan, or else I totally haf no income. Lol… feel like working to earn money, but muz be a super flexible one tat fetches like $8/hr. lol… how to find? Anyone got lobang muz tell me k… but I oso wanna apply for attachments at hospitals, or even try working as a clinic assistant oso gd for my resume… well, I shall see how lah… gonna pray abt it & see where God leads :)
