studies, school...

2nd week into year 2 sem 1. everything feels different. more things i'm familiar with now. hall, SBS, canteen food, tutorial classes, style of some lecturers, etc. at least i felt more secure and better able to cope with my work so far. i'd say it has been quite a gd start lah. but i know i have to cont be CONSISTENT.

being not involved in hall at all, i was happy that i had much more time to study. i had learnt so many new things so far. not really content wise, but had better grasped how shld an NTU student life be. so these are wad i've found out:

1) lib allows borrowing of my texbks over night after 7pm, but haf to return the next day b4 11am. it was great to be so becos i dun really need to buy so many textbks, and i saw the great advantage of staying in hall. this really made me happy :) also, bks can be borrowed over the super short weekend for me too! fantastic! i felt so stupid not knowing and making use of these the whole of last year. haha.

2) my coursemates are all super duper hardworking! even pple who dun look like they'll spend the whole afternoon in the lib are really doing tat! omg. when i saw them i felt as if i had been living in a cave for whole of year1. i'm so stupid! haha. i think i look more studious than them, but they're definitely much more hardworking than me.

3) studying in sch is more effective than coping myself up in the room, in self-pity, grumbling abt canteen food....

i learnt to appreciate the convenience of hall now tt i hear my frens complaining abt the longer queue for 179. the sch has somehow become much more densely populated. canteens r more packed, even the quad at my sch has a long queue at lunchtime. God, i am so thankful to u for giving me a hostel room, and even leading me to juz apply for it altho i was uncertain.

i had learnt to live with the fact tat my timetable has been permantly a 6-day week. it wasn't tat sorrowful lah, but juz a price to pay to graduate wif 2 degrees instead of a normal one lor. perhaps wif no electives & juz to focus wif 5 cores, i felt really happier. and i like the cores i'm taking so far. maybe hunag di nai jing might put me off, but so far i enjoy physio, anatomy & TCM dignostics. microbio is abit of a struggle, becos i still cant see where Peter the lecturer is heading to for the mod. i better push myself abit harder for TCM... the exam is only abt 5 weeks away... hope the facts dun accumulate...
